Many people ask us "how do I become a member of your clan?". My normal response is to tell them, "We are not a clan, we are a community", and as a community all our admins have been offered membership following a strict method of recruitment. A [BSM]Sgt.admin tag is not given out lightly. We never recruit strangers.

As admins we have spent many hours racking up server time, making posts on the forum and of course, using the Team Speak server. You will have to do the same. At BSM we want to know who we are inviting so all of this criteria must be met even before a discussion about inviting you takes place. Typically you will be considered if you have exceeded a length of time as a regular. Normally this could be three months (very regular) to six months (regular).
 

If you are a good person and get along with the Sgts then there is every chance you will get an invitation to join. We take stock of our regulars twice during the year and see who the potential admin candidates are. A short list is made in the Sgts section of the forum where we discuss the details of your conduct and how your server time has been. We will then decide on one, two, three or maybe even more of whom we think would be an asset to BSM.

Your progression through BSM

1. Guests are considered new comers to BSM. You will be displayed on the forum and teamspeak with the single stripe of a Private. Your job is to rank your self up in the community through natural means (see below).
2. Regulars are those that are forum registered and team speak users and tend to choose BSM servers over others. You will have racked up more than 50 hours server time and will be a familiar name/ voice amongst us. You will be eligible to scrim with us against other communities and clans. Regulars are also eligible to wear our [BSM] tag.
3. I Helped BSM is awarded to those that donate to the BSM community. (remember all funds received are used specifically for the upkeep of the community and it's services.

CURRENT RECRUITMENT MONTHS ARE: JANUARY AND JUNE

TYPICALLY WE ARE LOOKING FOR PLAYERS WHO: 

i. Participate on the forum
ii. Communicate (inc. by voice) on our servers
iii. Are not a source of frictional within the community
 

AND WHEN YOU ARE A [BSM] ADMIN YOU MUST:

iv. Handle disputes which arise on the servers and forum respectfully
v. Encourage harmony amongst other players and Sgts
vi. Act asap with matters arising that could cause further problems for BSM
vii. Work together to reach a common goal for BSM
viii. Encourage regulars to be fair players and lead by example by using the Sgt Code of Conduct

So if you are new.. play to the best of your ability and make sure your presence is known. Be respectful at all times and never ask to become a Sgt, we will ask you!
